Synergy Map: Portlands

Note: this map is also avalable for Synergy v1.1 as dm_portlands
This map is inspired by d2_coast_04 from the Half-Life campign. The idea was to create a sandbox style map with a couple of cranes and alow players to go all out.
The map is fairly large and open. It is set along a quay with several piers built out over a dried out beach area. The map features two cranes watching over the piers and nearby beach area, two thumper stations with mounted guns occuping the beach, a few buggies scattered about, and a couple of warehouses, which will open up if there are enough players in the map.
Random spawns include antlions, Combine solders, gunships, or striders.
And lastly, remeber to look both ways before crossing the railroad tracks.

Features
Portlands features a couple of triggers to adjust the map based on the number of players present. As more players join the map will spawn larger NPC groups, and it will unlock two of the warehouse and spawn combine to guard them.
The varriables that contorl these features, as well as several others have been included in the map’s mcf to allow server operators to easily be able to customize them. Customizable options include:
- Time between NPC spawns
- Number of players required to unlock each warehouse
- Number of players required to trigger the different NPC spawn sizes
- Time between trains running through the map

Known issues and bugs
- Antlions can become lost on the beach
- Crane operators are invulnerable
- The map places a debilitating load on the server CPU with a moderate to high number of players
