-------------------------- Freelancer Race Tracks Mod ========================== By Icely -------- This mod adds three new race tracks to the Freelancer Universe so each house has one track. ---------- Activation ========== FLMM ---- This mod can be activated with Freelancer Mod Manager version 1.3 or latter. Compatibility with other mods ----------------------------- This mod primarily just adds new objects to the systems and therefore should be compatible with other mods that do not significantly change the Freelancer Universe. There is the possibility of the track rings intersecting other object that have been added or moved by other mods. However this is minimal provided Leipzig Station has not been moved as the Dresden Speedway passes very close to that station. -------------- Track Overview ============== Texas Head-to-Head ------------------ The Texas Head-to-Head located outside LPI Huntsville, Texas. It is actually two courses, blue and yellow, traveling opposite directions around the same track, allowing two ships to race side by side passed each other. The track consits of two straight sections about 4k in length with two sharp 180 degree turns at each end where the two courses diverge slightly to let the races pass with a little more clearance. The start and finish gates are at opposite ends of the track. Rings of Aso Course ------------------- The Kyushu race course starts about 5.6k below Tsushima Depot, Kyushu and spirals down into the atmosphere of planet Aso then back out to the start. The course is one long gentle turn, but the low altitude above Aso forces pilots to carefully judge just how close they can cut the corner. Dresden Speedway ---------------- The Dresden Speedway starts at Leipzig Station, Desden and winds its way through the Daumann Lavafeld. The course is tight and has several very sharp turns at the start, but opens up around the back. ----------------------------------- Adding these tracks to your own mod =================================== If you would like to add these tracks to your own mod you are free to do so as long as you give me credit for them.
