-------------------- Arrow's Controls Mod ==================== By Icely -------- This mod adds new options to the control list in Freelancer ---------- Activation ========== FLMM ---- This mod can be activated with Freelancer Mod Manager version 1.3 or latter. Compatibility with other mods ----------------------------- This only changes the controls menu, and therefore should be compatable with any mod that doesn't change the controls. Any mod that does will probablly incorporate similar changes anyway. --------------------- New Controls Overview ===================== Up/Down Strafe -------------- They act just like the left and right strafe. Clockwise/Counterclockwise Roll ------------------------------- The roll keys roll your ship around the longditunial axis. Roll Note: Roll controls only work in cockpit view with mouse flight off, or in turret view if switched to from cockpit view. Switch to Target/Contact List ----------------------------- This brings up the wireframe view of the target in the lower left HUD screen. Note: this is not a toggle, use the default control "contact list" to return to the contact list view Next/Previous Subtarget ----------------------- These keys cycle through the destructable components and mounted equipment on the target. Weapons Groups Keys Refire Continuously --------------------------------------- The fire weapon group controls have been modified to act like the fire missle control and refire continously when held down. --------------------- Note on Weapon groups ===================== To use weapon group it is nessicary to assign keys to switch to weapon groups. Once those are set simple select the group you want and turn on the weapon you want in that group, it will save automatically. Switching to that weapon group will then select those weapons. BUG: Whichever group you have active when docking will be overwriten with weaapon group 1. So make sure you dock with group 1 active, as it overwriting itself isn't a problem. ------------------------ My Personal Key Bindings ======================== 'w' Strafe Up 'x' Strafe Down 'a' Strafe Left 'd' Strafe Right 's' Reverse Thrust 'q' Fire Weapon Group 4 (used for light missiles) 'e' Fire Weapon Group 5 (used for heavy missiles) 'r' Fire Weapon Group 6 (used for special: CDs, Torps, Mines, ect.) 'z' Switch to Target (I don't use engine kill so this key was unused) 'Shift-z' Contact List '1' Active Weapon Group 1 '2' Active Weapon Group 2 '3' Active Weapon Group 3 '4' Active Weapon Group 4 '5' Active Weapon Group 5 '6' Active Weapon Group 6 ------------------------------------- Adding these controls to your own mod ===================================== If you would like to add these changes to your own mod you are free to do so as long as you give me credit for them.
